peplos

A draped, outer garment made of a single piece of cloth that was worn by women in ancient Greece. Loose-fitting and held up with pins at the shoulder, its top edge was folded over to create a flap and it was often worn belted.

chiton

An ancient Greek garment created from a single piece of cloth wrapped around the body and held together by pins at the shoulders.

fibula

The fibula, which was popular in Greek culture, served as a pin to both hold garments together and to show status of those with prestige or power within society.
